So let me answer that now. __________________________________________________________________ Why Choose An Independent Mortgage Broker Over A Bank? The answer is simple. An independent mortgage broker is on your team and beside you throughout the whole process. They help you structure your mortgage application to give it the best chance of success. Applying for a loan can be a daunting process. Most people think they don’t stand a chance of getting a loan. They may have already approached a bank, only to be turned down. Wouldn’t it be better to work with someone who is more willing to help? There are many finance options in the marketplace e.g. P & I loans, LOC’s, Low docs and more. All these terms can be very confusing. Knowing the best loan to choose can therefore be difficult. Typically, banks are confined to the products they offer, whereas a broker can find the best loan for you. What’s amazing is that a broker will do all the running around for you, saving you valuable time - at no cost to you! How great is that? Building a Property Portfolio – Step One When building a property portfolio its imperative to have a team around you that you can trust – who will put the deals together for you. Generally your team consists of real estate agents, property managers, builders, trades people, pest and building inspectors, lawyers, architects and a finance broker. Interestingly, your finance broker plays an integral role in this process, because without finance, the deal is not going to happen! That being the case, a good place to start your property investing career is to have a friendly chat with a finance broker. They will advise you on your options and what amount you are able to borrow. Once this is established, you can begin on the next step… which is finding a suitable property.
