One of the more prominent issues surrounding the recent federal election was the Liberal Government’s changes to Industrial Relations laws and the introduction of workplace agreements. The average Australian does not realize that this could be THE perfect vehicle to begin the path to Wealth Creation. Now I’m not saying I agree with the changes to the laws, or the liberals view on the workplace, but if you think outside the square for a moment, what the majority of the population see as a major disadvantage, could really be used to your own advantage. Let me explain………… We have discussed in the past the importance of saving funds to invest when putting into action your wealth creation plan. This can be difficult when starting out because your investments don't yet provide a passive income. So you need to raise those funds from somewhere else. You may already have your own home in which equity could be used to start you off, however for many people this does not alleviate the cash flow issue. The most obvious area to create savings from is your salary/wages! If you can increase your income, you will have additional funds that you don’t have now. The increased income could be used towards investments that will eventually lead to a passive income. A way to achieve this could be to consider a sub contract role, which could offer more flexibility and possibly higher pay. Those of you who have attended my Real Estate Seminars (live or on DVD), will know how passionate I am about value adding and negotiating! The same strategy applies to life! Remember everything is negotiable! If you can find ways to add value to your job role, it puts you in a position to negotiate any terms. This can be achieved by thinking more creatively or finding ways to solve problems that may exist within your company. Perhaps you could explore finding ways to save the company some expenses or come up with ideas to increase company profits/turnover. Don’t be like the herd. They turn up for work only interested in the pay cheque. Become more pro-active and energetic. Recognise your true worth and convincing others of it will come easily. This energy will then seep into other areas of your life freely - making the path to wealth creation much easier to follow. Still a few copies left…
